Treasurers Report
Return to our Home Page

Good afternoon my St. James family.

The year 2000 has been a year of change, and with the change comes adjustments. Our rector being called to a new parish, the formation of the search committee and the hiring of our interim rector, Father Rick.

But despite all, we are making the necessary adjustments and planning for our future. Our financial situation has remained stable through the year with a few ups and downs. Our trust fund took a small hit but it is coming back. The pledges for the year 2000 were slightly down as expected due to the several changes to our parish family.

We have been blessed with three generous parishioners who upon their passing left us small bequests. This along with the generosity of all of us, we have been able to meet our obligations. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the members of the finance committee: Paul Whitney, assistant treasurer Bob Elis, Eileen Haydecde, Debbie Mills, Wil Reyes, and Father Rick.

Also, Pat Hawkins, former parish administrator, Linda Murray, current parish administrator, and those who volunteer their time to count on Sunday. Without their very capable assistance by job would not be as easy.

Thank you all.

I would like to give you a brief report on the Capital Endowment Account. This is the account that many of us give donations to through the blue envelope or just as a designation. Through pledges and subscription the revenue realized for 2000 was $19,320. The expenses were:

Capital building maintenance $4,013
Furniture and equipment $2,219
New building project $10,932
For a total expenditure of $17,164

Currently there are two bills for the building project that just about makes up the $2,200 difference. Which leads me to say thank you to all of you, for without your generosity our parish family could not continue to do our programs and worship together.
