The Reverend Rickey Edwards has accepted a call to serve
St. James' as interim rector. Fr. Rick has served the Diocese
of Newark in a part time capacity for four years. He continues
his work in Systematic Theology in the Ph.D. program of
Fordham University. Fr. Rick moved to the East in 1994 completing
course work for his Master of Sacred Theology at The General
Theological Seminary in New York City. Prior to his move
he served as a parish priest in the Diocese of Texas beginning
in 1990. He is a graduate of the Episcopal Seminary of the
Southwest and the University of Texas, both in Austin.
He is married to Sharon, a proud native of the Lone Star
State. Their children, Nathan, 10, and Kelsey, 7, think
of New Jersey as their home and are excited about their
new church in Hackettstown The family is currently building
a home in Rockaway Township where Fr. Rick hopes to continue
to teach and serve the Diocese of Newark. Sharon works for
an information technology company in Morristown.
