Return to our Home Page

An important Ministry at St. James is our Prayer Ministry. This page is a list of individuals for which prayers have been requested. Only first names will be published on this list.

There are three sections to this list. The first section is for those individuals who are in our weekly Sunday Bulletin.

The second section is information on the St. James' Prayer Ministry.

The third section is prayer requests from around the Diocese of Newark. The Webmaster may place those names for which prayers have been requested. There have been a number of request for Prayers emailed to the Webmaster. Those names are also included in this section.

Please print this list and add these individuals to your prayer list.

Thank you.

O God of love, O King of peace, make wars throughout the world cease; the wrath of nations now restrain, give peace O God, give peace again! - Hymn 578

Prayer Ministry

The Rector, on the Prayer Ministry:

The prayer ministry has begun and is already in action. You may request prayer from this small, but growing, and fervent group! Your name should be submitted to me, and I will remind you of how it works (you say what you want prayer for, as general or detailed as you wish; those who are praying for you keep all the information in confidence). I can be reached by Telephone (908) 850-4549 or email. There is a link to the email below (Rector).

Remember that I as your priest keep your confidence in pastoral matters, unless you have asked that I share information with others (for example, a person in the hospital might want parish members to know a surgery was successful and they are at home).

The power of prayer is a mighty force, and I am so glad that this group was born of the need of the members to pray. In addition, please know that whenever you want prayer following regular Sunday worship, I am available for the laying on of hands and anointing. Almost always, some of your sisters and brothers in Christ join me in prayer for you.

The Rector will initiate a call to the Prayer Ministry Coordinator who will make phone calls to those who wish to be called or to send an email to the Prayer Ministry Email list..
