The caps can be found on most bottles of Coke and Pepsi products and on the inside flap of fridge pack 12-pack can cartons. These codes can be turned into merchandise for the Tricky Tray event. Last year we were able to assemble a basket of various Coke premiums. We are on our way to assembling several of these baskets for our event on October 20th and need your help. Please see the display on the bulletin board of the Lady Chapel at coffee hour or see or email Barbara Olesen for details.

Bring them along to the Lady Chapel or the Office and deposit in the container provided and they will be collected, packaged up and sent off for recycling. For all the cartridges we return we will earn points, which eventually can be turned into cash for St. James. We also thank Trinity United Methodist for letting us use their facilities.
What in the World Coffee Hour (04/22/07)
What in the World is right. This suggestion was brought to us by a couple of our very own parishioners. Turned into a great fundraiser and a wonderful opportunity for us to gather together for fellowship. Many of you found the perfect little something, from Turtles to Dolphins, Candles to Clothing, it was a lot of fun and the turnout was spectacular. A special thank you to Al and Vicki Kopaca, owners of What in the World and the Community of St. James', Al and Vicki's donation of $1040.00 from your purchases will go far in support of our efforts at St. James'.
Please visit What in the World located in the Riverside Plaza in Mansfield and thank Al and Vicki for their support. You can check out their website at www.whatintheworld.info.
Rummage Sale (04/21/07)

Many found them on our front lawn thanks to your donations. We raised $602.00 to support the Ministries and Missions of St. James'. We could not have done it without your support. Thank you!
Easter Candy Sale (03/11/07 - 03/25/07)
Another great effort by the community of St. James'. Through your support we were able to sell $990.15 worth of See's Candy giving us a profit of $549.85. This is our first time selling See's Candy and it was good, very good.
Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper (02/22/07)We did have a Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper at Christ Church in Budd Lake, New Jersey, which proved some much needed fellowship, while our Parish Hall is "under Construction".
The St. James Fundraising Committee is very busy making many plans for this year. Finding a place to hold our events has proved a little more difficult than we thought but it is finally coming together. Of course, we are always looking for volunteers willing to give up some time and talent to help us plan and execute these activities. If you see something you're interested in give me a call, shoot me an email or even better join us for a meeting. We meet once a month on Thursday nights, the week prior to the monthly Vestry Meeting but after the St. James' Chapel service at 7:00 PM, gathering in the Mitcham House for planning and discussions.
WAY TO GO ST. JAMES'
These are just a few of the events that we hope to plan this year: In addition, we hope to host a Yankee Candle Sale, Wrapping Paper Sale later in the year and possibly a Jewelry Show. Our intent is to schedule events that will interest the parishioners of St. James' and introduce and welcome the public at the same time. The suggestion box for ideas will be in the Lady Chapel this Sunday. Please feel free to offer any suggestion you may have and I would love to hear any comments you may have regarding past or future events.Fundraising committee: Barbara Olesen, Ellen Infante, Barbara White and the St. James' family.
The fundraising committee mission is to raise money to support the ministries and missions of our Parish. It is however much deeper than that. The ultimate goal is to bring people closer to God to share in His Glory. Each time we go out to a fundraiser it is another opportunity to reach out and touch someone, to let someone know that we are " an open, inclusive and caring faith community that embraces diversity and celebrates the joy of Christ" and would love to have them join us in worship.
This past year was another banner year for fundraising at St. James'. We enjoyed a couple of dinners, a little ice cream and the best baked goods in town. Hopefully, I speak for everyone when I say we had a great time at every event.. I encourage you to share your ideas, help us with your suggestions and even join us. We truly need your help and your participation in all our events. Our meetings will be held once a month, the second Thursday at 7:4 5pm in the Mitcham House. Check out the St. James' website for meeting schedules, event schedules and tons of great pictures.
Thanks for all your help during the past year. We look forward to another year of fellowship, fundraising and great times.
