Notes from the Kick Off meeting of the 2008 St. James' Tricky Tray
From comments from the 2007 Tricky Tray, the notion of re-gifting was brought up. That is, folks may go to tricky tray's to find gifts for Christmas. This theme will be carried out, in some fashion, this year.
There will be monthly Meetings of this committee on the First Thursday of the month, after the Chapel Service at 7:00pm. In October, the meetings will be held Weekly:
June 5, 2008 at 7:30pm
July 3, 2008 at 7:30pm
August 7, 2008 at 7:30pm
September 4, 2008 at 7:30pm
October 2, 2008 at 7:30pm
October 9, 2008 at 7:30pm
October 16, 2008 at 7:30pm
October 22, 2008 at 7:30pm (This is a Wednesday, as there is a Vestry Meeting on the 23rd.
Saturday, October 25, 2008 the big day
Timeline:
June
- Corporate Mailings will be done at the June Meeting
- Local Merchant letters will be hand delivered, later in June
- Anne Dutton will be updating an EXCEL file for the mailings
- Anne will also create the Corporate Letters
August
September
- Kathy Lacouture will work with the Sunday School to create and make about 50 "wands" for folks to hold up when they have a winning ticket
- Follow up calls to the parish and some merchants
- Follow up with Local merchants will be in person
- Presales begin in Early September
To Do List
- File Permits - Mount Olive - Linda Murray has requested the Permit
- File Permits - State - Has been taken care of
- Permit to put up signs around Mt. Olive must be done at least two weeks in advance
- A-Frame poster (4x5) - two of them - for the Budd Lake Fire House
- Articles to the Journal each month
- Dave Lacouture will get articles to Paula van Clef for local news
- Do we need more tickets?
- Need to verify that the Bartkus' and Huryk's will continue to do the food for 2008
