ANNOUNCEMENTS

SR. CHOIR is back in action and looking for more people to come and share the fun! Rehearsals are Thursdays 7:30-9:00 PM in the church. Child care may be available. If interested speak to Pam Laura after church, call her at 908.850.8086, or just come to a rehearsal.

HOMECOMING SUNDAY Today there is a family breakfast between the 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM services as we reconnect with each other following a time of summer re-creation. This morning we dedicate the front steps of the church at the 10:00 AM service, in a project 18 months in the making. Our guest is Canon Carter Echols, Canon to the Ordinary and Congregational Development Director, Episcopal Diocese of Newark. We welcome her presence among us; Carter was here to help celebrate our successful Capital Campaign last year and so we are happy she is here today to celebrate a new level of welcome, present and future, for St. James'.

DISTRICT FORUM ON CANDIDATES FOR BISHOP District One and Two will gather for a discussion of the candidates for Diocesan Bishop on Tuesday, September 19 th at 7:30 PM at Church of the Saviour in Denville. This is a good follow-up to the meetings recently held at which the candidates were met personally (one more opportunity today, 2-6 pm at St. Mary's, Sparta) . Please contact the church office if you would like to share a ride.

SUNDAY SCHOOL REGISTRATION this morning in the Parish Hall. Questions: please speak with Kathy Lacouture. TEACHERS NEEDED Our Sunday School Program, Godly Play, is in need of one or two more dedicated teachers. If you are able to give of your time for this very important ministry, please speak with Kathy Lacouture or Eileen Malejko.

FUNDRAISING If you have not already done so, please submit your commitment for a Tricky Tray basket/tray to Barbara Olesen. Have you received a gift you don't really need, or bought something that you never used? The Tricky Tray Committee is looking for donations of new items that you might have taking up space in your home. We can use just about anything!

NURSERY CARE COORDINATOR! We are still looking for someone to volunteer to coordinate Nursery Care on Sundays. It is not a lot of work, but without a coordinator and volunteers we will be unable to continue nursery care on Sundays. This is an important ministry that we would like to continue at St. James'. Please consider volunteering!
